Autumn has descended on 1200 Manor Road. As the leaves change and the temperatures begin to drop, this is our time at Wagner to dig deep into the work that we have begun. October is a month where we celebrate a variety of holidays and the opportunity to indulge in extra sweets at the end of the month. Whether it is apple picking, pumpkin picking, hayrides, or attending the Staten Island Zoo Spooktacular, I hope you take time to get outside during this beautiful month.
The Falcons are continuing their pursuit of academic excellence in October. We have completed over a month of school and we will be wrapping up the first marking period. Marking periods are opportunities to check-in on the progress we have been making. This is the time to identify positive work habits and address areas where students are facing obstacles. We need to share this information so can support our children as a community. Please check PupilPath to monitor your child’s academic progress. If you cannot access PupilPath, please contact Mrs. Clemente (firstname.lastname@example.org) for your access code. I also encourage you to speak with your child about the work they are doing everyday.
October is also the time when our sports programs round into form. Our fall sports teams have continued to make us proud on the field, course, court or pool. We hope to see you at an event soon, or join us for our Homecoming football game on October 26. If you’re hungry, join us for our annual Pancake Breakfast that morning before cheering on the Falcons.
Thank you for the opportunity to educate and care for your children. It is a privilege that we take seriously at Wagner. I’ll see you at morning entry.
