November allows us to share as a community, through our Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, November 21, from 5 PM - 8 PM, and on Friday, November 22, from 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM. I encourage you to come to school to speak to your child’s teachers so we can celebrate their accomplishments and discuss ways to continue to support our children in areas where they are feeling challenged. Also, we have community-based organizations that will be attending the conferences. This is my on-going commitment to our community to make Wagner a central figure in the lives of students and their families and provide support in any way that we can.
This month is also a time for us to gather as a community and take a moment to reflect on what we are thankful for. We can be thankful that we live in a democracy and that we have the right to exercise our choice on who we want to govern on Election Day. We can also be thankful for the people that have served our country in the Armed Forces as we do on Veteran’s Day. Hopefully, you will be able to gather with loved ones and share what you are thankful for during Thanksgiving. I remind myself every day that I am thankful to be the principal of Susan Wagner and to be a part of this community.
