By Nick Regina |

Two of three Staten Island schools won their PSAL flag football quarterfinal games Thursday with Tottenville and Susan Wagner advancing to meet one another in the semifinals, while New Dorp was bounced from postseason play.

No. 2 Susan Wagner blasted No. 10 Queens Complex, 38-0, and will meet the No. 3 Pirates at Aviator on Wednesday after No. 3 Tottenville Toppled No. 11 Martin Luther King, 25-0.

Julian DeGeorge fired five TD strikes for the Falcons, while Sabrina Yakush hauled in a pair of scores.

Ariana Resiti collected six receptions for 49 yards and a TD.

Lauren Persichetty and Julia Catella each nabbed interceptions in the win.

As for Tottenville, Jessica Cusenza ran for two touchdowns and added two sacks on defense, while Macy Jones Busch had 3 receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.

Jenna Burgos reeled in three interceptions and returned one for a touchdown.

Georgette Patti racked up 10 tackles, including two for losses, and also notched an interception.

Unfortunately, things didn’t transpire as smoothly for No. 8 New Dorp, which fell to top-seed Maspeth, 26-6, and was subsequently bounced from postseason play.
