Susan Wagner's Kathryn Altieri cruised to a large-margin victory Sunday at Van Cortlandt Park, winning the Staten Island PSAL title with a time of 19:58.88.

"I felt really good out there today, said Altieri. "The course was in good condition and the weather was perfect."

Still without the services of Abigail Hughes and Victoria Morrongiello, SW got a fourth place finish from Madison Codoner(21:46.17), a 10th place finish from Lauren Hernandez (22:32.20), a 12th place finish from Carly Oakes (22:53.04) and a 14th place finish from Kaia Nowak (23:16.27) to top CSI/McCown (55 points) and MSIT (64) for the crown (41).

"I really like the way we've been stepping up as a team especially when we're missing some key scorers," added Altieri. "We've been doing a good job motivating each other in practice and it's showing."

CSI/McCown's Olivia Legowski (20:48.67), Julia Calvo (21:30.02) and Lydia Zheng (21:49.92) went 2-3-5, giving the Falcons all they could handle in their team's best ever finish.

Completing the team scoring was Tottenville (76), Curtis (108), New Dorp (169) and Port Richmond (218).
