STUDENT DRESS CODE

Students have the right to determine their own dress except where such dress creates a distraction, is dangerous or interferes with the learning and teaching process.  It is important that you remember what clothing is inappropriate in school.  Included are:

·        Shirts which are revealing including halter tops, tube tops, and tank tops which expose the chest area.

·        Tight ribbed underwear tank top

·        Sheer tops without undershirts

·        Any clothing which exposes the midriff

·        Shorts and skirts which are revealing

·        Going barefoot or in stocking feet

·        Clothing with writing or pictures which are suggestive, obscene, or distasteful; or which is worn in a distractive manner (e.g., exposed underwear).  Of course, hats, caps, visors, head bands or other head gear are not permitted.

Students who violate the dress code will be asked to change into a T-shirt, gym shorts, and/or sweat pants.  Any student who refuses to cooperate may face disciplinary action.  Please help us ensure that our students are arriving to school dressed appropriately and ready to learn.
