PSAT/NMSQT
This year, Wagner will be offering the PSAT/NMSQT to juniors on Saturday, October 13, 2018. The PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test students take to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program. Although the PSAT is not mandatory, it is the first step for students to be eligible for the scholarship program. If you are a junior and would like to register for the exam , please visit the school’s website at https://www.wagnerhigh.net/falcon_store.jsp , and click on PSAT/NMSQT to register and pay for the exam. The cost of the exam is $17 (includes a processing fee), which may be paid by credit card. The form and payment needs to be completed no later than September 12, 2018.

If you would like to take the exam, but are unable to pay by the deadline, please see Ms. Diez in Room 103 or email her at ldiez@schools.nyc.gov. Any students that are unable to register electronically may register at the Falcon’s Nest during their lunch period. Payment must be made paid by check or money order payable to Susan E. The SAT will be offered to all juniors, free of charge, on SAT School Day, March 27, 2019.

Dear Wagner Parents and Families
I hope you and your children had a great first day at Susan Wagner. The students seemed eager to return to school and ready for the challenges of the new school year. Needless to say it has been a challenging first two days with extreme weather conditions. I want to thank the students and staff at Wagner that have endured the conditions of the building and made sure that our first two days were successful.

Susan Wagner High School is currently on the list of schools to get the electrical infrastructure to support individual air conditioning units in each classroom. Once this work begins, it will be a multi-year project before it is completed. In the interim, we try to provide as many fans in classrooms to make the rooms as tolerable as possible. In addition, students who don't feel well can be seen by the nurse and the administration will take necessary steps to ensure the safety of all of our children.

Fortunately, this weather should break this evening and make Friday a better day. Once again, I want to thank the students for maintaining their positive attitude and behavior during this heatwave, and the entire Wagner staff for their perseverance. I am grateful to work with such an amazing staff.

If you have any further questions, please contact our parent coordinator, Ms. Clemente, at 718-698-4200, extension 1151 or zclemente@schools.nyc.gov.

Respectfully,

David A. Cugini
Principal
Attention Wagner Families
We need your help. By completing your child's lunch form, you help secure valuable funding to support your child's education. Although lunch is free for all students, all students must still complete a lunch form each year.

The process can be done online in just a few minutes. Please don't delay!
